Since 1985, KLUX-HD has surpassed all expectations, whether they were evangelical or secular. Our most unique and singular blend of music and messages has captivated listeners of all faiths. As an un-apologetic Catholic radio station, KLUX-HD has earned a number of awards from various organizations for outstanding programming. Some of those organizations are the United States Conference Of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), Catholic Communications Campaign, UNDA USA (Gabriel Awards), and The Emergency Management Association of Texas.
Locals and “Winter Texans” alike are astounded by the number of businesses and commercial offices they visit which play 89.5 for their employees and customers to enjoy. We also feature local information in the way of public service announcements that rival the productions of commercial advertising agencies.
We believe our listeners deserve the very best we can offer. Quality and consistency are our bywords. Perhaps that is what has led to the vast listenership, both over the air and on-line. We take the phrase in our FCC License very seriously; the one which says “to serve in the public interest.” We continually strive to improve our sound. To that end we began broadcasting in full digital stereo in 2006, have an HD-2 Channel, which features Relevant Radio for those who enjoy Catholic news, talk and dialogue programming.
Our HD-1 Channel features the very best in Easy Listening music from the world’s top musicians, both vocally and instrumentally. We strive to inspire and motivate with thought provoking messages about life, love, and spirituality….and we do it all without preaching or judging.
In short, we work at providing listeners with the very best radio we know how to produce……..all without airing a single commercial. As a non-commercial educational FM (and HD), we are listener-supported, with help from grants and underwriters, who enthusiastically support our programming efforts.
