You asked for it and we are delighted to make KLUX Online available
to our many listeners across the nation and around the world but we need your help.
While we provide KLUX Online as a free service to the online community, the internet
itself is not free. The more online listeners we host, the more bandwidth we consume
and the more we are charged by our streaming provider and the more licensing fees we are charged.
Each Online listener incurs expenses that must be paid for.
We are currently limiting the number of listeners on our streaming server. If you have gotten a
"Server Full" error message then it has reached its capacity. We would like to be able to increase
the server capacity but this of course all involves more funding
While our inspirational and positive messages are ours to do with as we please,
we are legally required by Soundexchange, SESAC, BMI and ASCAP, the agencies who represent the many artists and
composers whose music we play on KLUX, to pay for the rights to play the music. These great artists and composers
are justly entitled to compensation and while we already pay licensing fees to these agencies for over-the-air
broadcast rights, we must pay additional fees for the right to play the same music online.
Why not consider sending a check to help us keep playing the music you
want to hear. Designate your gift for "KLUX Online" and it will be used exclusively to defray
the costs of our online efforts and to improve our online capabilities. And as always, a big
